These MAC Gift Card terms and conditions govern the purchase and use of MAC branded gift cards, including plastic/paper cards and digital/electronic cards (collectively, the “Card”). The Card is issued by Estée Lauder Cosmetics Limited trading as MAC (“MAC”). By purchasing, accepting or using a Card, you agree to have read, understood and accept these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with this Agreement, do not purchase, use or accept the Card..

1. Purchasing Your Card. Cards can be purchased at:

a) MAC free standing stores in the United Kingdom; or

b) online at www.maccosmetics.co.uk.

2. Redemption.

a) The Card is redeemable only for purchases of goods or services at MAC free standing stores in the United Kingdom with a card reading terminal that is operational at the time of use, or online at www.maccosmetics.co.uk.

b) The Card cannot be used at Department Store Locations, airport locations or third-party owned locations.

c) The balance on the Card may be used for full or part payment of the GB Pounds sterling cost of MAC goods or services. Any unused balance will remain on your Card until the date of expiry, at which point it will be removed and the Card will become inactive. No change will be given for any remaining value.

d) The Card is not a cheque guarantee, credit, debit or charge card. The Card has no cash value and may not be exchanged or redeemed for cash (except as required by law).

e) Subject to promotional offer terms and conditions, the promotional offers may not
apply to Card purchases. No VAT is charged when purchasing your Card, however purchases paid using the Card are subject to VAT.

f) MAC reserves the right to refuse to honour any Card in the event of a disputed credit card charge, bounced check or other failure of consideration.

3. Balance Inquiry.

b) The balance you receive when inquiring is an estimate only. In most cases, the balance is adjusted immediately when you make a purchase, but there may be occasions when the balance adjustment is delayed.

4. Expiration/Deactivation.

a) Please see the terms on the Card itself for the expiration date, if any. Cards purchase on and from 28 September 2026 will expire two (2) years from the date the Card was issued. Cards purchase before 28 September 2026 will expire after two (2) years, being 28 September 2028.

b) No fees for inactivity or service fees apply.

5. Returns.

a) No refunds are permitted with respect to the purchase of Cards.

b) Any accepted refund for an item which was paid for using a Card will be credited
to the original Card used for the purchase. If the original Card has since expired or lost, please contact the MAC Customer Service Team for assistance. For general information about returns, please see the MAC RETURNS POLICY.

6. Lost, Damaged or Stolen Card. To the extent permitted by law, MAC limits its liability to replacing faulty Cards. Mac will not replace any lost, damaged or stolen Cards. If your Card is lost, damaged or stolen, you should immediately contact our MAC Customer Service Team to cancel the Card. For the avoidance of doubt, such cancellation of the Card does not oblige MAC to replace the lost, damaged or stolen Card.

7. Not for Resale. Cards cannot be resold. MAC may withdraw or cancel the Card and require an alternative form of payment if MAC suspects that the Card may have been stolen, fraudulently used or obtained from unauthorized sellers / resellers (including through Internet auction sites).

8. Limitation of Liability. To the extent permitted by law, MAC make no warranties, express or implied, with respect to the Card including, without limitation, any express or implied warranty or merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. In the event that a Card is non-functional, your sole remedy, and our sole liability, shall be the replacement of such Card.

9. Variations. MAC may vary, amend or supplement these terms and conditions at any time, including discontinuing the Card. Any variations will be effective upon the posting of the updated terms and conditions on the MAC website. Your continued use of a Card after the posting of updated terms and conditions will be deemed as your acceptance of the updated terms and conditions.

10. Governing Law. These terms and conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with the Card shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. Each party irrevocably agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions.
